American Airlines' evaporators and vaping policy
1. In most cases, you can put the vape in your carry-on, but not in your checked luggage.
2. E-cigarettes contain lithium-ion batteries, which can sometimes catch fire. Fires are easier to put out if they occur in the cabin, so all lithium-ion batteries and e-cigarettes or e-cigarettes cannot be stored in checked baggage.
3. You are not allowed to use e-cigarettes in the cabin.
4. It is best to keep the evaporator in your carry-on bag at all times.
5. It is best to disconnect the battery and turn it off if possible. It is also recommended that you empty your vape tank, as cabin pressure changes can cause it to leak.
6. Vape juice should be treated like any other liquid. This means that you cannot carry containers larger than 3.4fl. Ounces or 100 milliliters. Liquids must be kept in clear resealable plastic bags with shampoo, etc.
NOTE:
If you are asked to check your carry-on bag at the gate at the last minute, you will need to remove your vape device and any other lithium-ion batteries and store them on you.
If you are on a long flight and are concerned about nicotine withdrawal symptoms, consider using a nicotine patch or gum.
